With Week 18 in the rearview mirror, it’s time for an updated look at the LaxMetrics Weighted Average rankings. Ranking every forward, defender, and transition player from 1 to 322, the Weighted Average offers us a cross-positional basis for comparison, excluding goalies.
While the Top-3 is unchanged from last week, we saw quite a bit of movement in the Top-10. Vancouver’s Keegan Bal and New York’s Jeff Teat each rose into the Top-5 for the first time. Joining them in the top-10 was Buffalo’s Josh Byrne, who has climbed from #26 in our initial rankings to #8 after a stellar two-game weekend for the Bandits. The only member of last week’s Top-10 to fall out of the group was Saskatchewan’s Robert Church, who was at home on an idle weekend for the Rush.
Below are some of the notable big movers in the Top-100:
Kevin Crowley (PHI): Up 13 spots from #29 to #13
Dan Craig (TOR): Up 10 spots from #45 to #35
Chris Cloutier (BUF): Up 14 spots from #60 to #46
Logan Shuss (VAN): Up 22 spots from #69 to #47
LaTrell Harris (TOR): Up 10 spots from #59 to #49
Joey Cupido (COL): Up 37 spots from #89 to #52
Chase Fraser (BUF): Up 39 spots from #96 to #57
Blaze Riorden (PHI): Up 20 spots from #99 to #79
